Happy Valentine’s Day!
For those of you out there reading this blog post, I hope you’ve got a fantastic date planned for tonight. But if you don’t, that’s OK. You’re not alone. That’s right, I’ll be spending tonight at home without plans, too.
Why, you ask?
Well my wonderful & loving husband happens to be a musician, and is the guitarist and lead vocalist for the Toronto-based heavy indie pop band Cold Dead Hands. They’ve been around for years now, but haven’t released any new music since 2009! However, after working hard over the last dozen or so months, they’re finally ready to release their brand new E.P. “Space Out.”
Their CD release show is happening this Saturday at Rancho Relaxo. So any Torontonians out there reading this who currently have no plans for Saturday night? You’re free to come check them out!
OK, but what does this have to do with me being plan-free for Valentine’s Day?
Well, in order to try and round up as many attendees as possible to his CD release gig, my husband has been making an extra effort to go see local bands play more in recent weeks. Tonight? He’s got plans of watching Magneta Lane play tonight. Which I’m totally cool with, because I get to cash my rain check tomorrow and celebrate Valentine’s Day in the best way possible, ever.

Curious on what could possibly be my idea for the perfect Valentine’s Day?
My dream Valentine celebration is to… watch Bruce Willis kick some serious Russian butt in the new Die Hard movie!
Yes, I am seriously in love (lust?) with Bruce Willis. How can you not? He’s just… awesome. Watching him in any movie is already my idea of a good time (Yes, I’m one of those rare gals who love a good action flick! Schwarzenegger? Statham? Yum!). But to watch him play the role of John McClane again and hear him go “yippee ki-yay, motherf***er” after what I’m assuming would be a mass take-down of some Russian bad guys with explosions in the background in the name of his son? Classic. I can’t wait!
Anyway, until then… check out the new website I had just designed for my husband’s band, Cold Dead Hands!
As mentioned last week in a blog post about my recent web design projects, I mentioned that I’ve been working on creating the official website for Cold Dead Hands. Well it’s officially up and live, so go check it out.
And again, if you like my website design? Feel free to shoot me an email at info@knittingandpurling.com for custom project requests of all types!
Cheers,
Karina
