When it comes to yarn, I'm like a squirrel during the days immediately prior to a winter deep-freeze (basically, a hoarder).
Introduction
Welcome to my yarn dresser! And when I say dresser, I’m not talking figuratively. I literally mean, dresser.
I’m sure anyone reading this can relate, since I’m certain each of you have been an (not-so-proud) owner of an IKEA dresser at one point in your life. You get sucked into buying it because it’s cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for. For some reason IKEA thinks a flimsy piece of cardboard can successfully act as a drawer bottom. And this cardboard isn`t even attached to the drawer with any nails or screws!
So while my IKEA Malm 6-Drawer Chest was a complete failure at storing clothes, it works beautifully as a home to my massive yarn collection.
I admit, I am 100% guilty of buying yarn for no reason. I’m fully aware that it would take me many, many, many years to get through it all. But I’m a sucker for gorgeous art yarn!
I’ve always dreamed of having an entire cupboard devoted to storing yarn. I would love to be able to open the cupboard doors and see yarn of all types and textures in every color of the rainbow. So while the IKEA dresser is not exactly my dream yarn cupboard, it’s a damn good substitute!
And without further ado, here is a peek inside my personal yarn dresser…
