I have such a love for hand drawn maps... especially this one by Serge Seidlitz!
Introduction
Welcome to the travel section of the Knitting & Purling blog!
Browse a list of all “travel destination spotlight” blog posts below, part of a review blog series showcasing the various places around the world where I’ve traveled to.
From road tripping to major US cities in the northeastern seaboard, to globe trekking down the boot of Italy while on a 3 1/2 week European wedding and honeymoon trip, or even traveling abroad halfway around the world to China and Asia… my husband and I are definitely no spring chickens when it comes to traveling!
It’s true. We’re huge travel fanatics, and we tend to make it our mission to travel somewhere new each year if possible.
Are you a die hard travel buff like myself? Then you’re at the right place! Hopefully you’ll enjoy reading all about my traveling adventures… with my trip experiences documented via both written posts and through vacation photos.
More travel blog posts will be added here all the time, so please feel free to check back regularly!

Paris, France (May 2010): Yet another destination during our honeymoon and wedding trip through Italy and France. The art? The museums? The cathedrals? The food? J'adore!

Rome, Italy (May 2010): My ancient Roman art and architecture lovin' senses are tingling with excitement just thinking about our honeymoon trip to Rome.

Florence, Italy (May 2010): My favorite city in the whole wide world! Why? Because my husband and I got married in the beautiful city of Firenze, Italia.

Venice, Italy (May 2010): I was giddy as a schoolgirl in Venice when I found myself surrounded by stunning Murano glass jewelry (Hello, love for lampwork glass beads?).

Milan, Italy (May 2010): The fashion mecca of Europe, and home to the world's largest Gothic cathedral (Duomo di Milano). Also the starting point to our wedding and honeymoon trip through Italy & France!

Barcelona, Spain (May 2009): Gorgeous Barcelona, oh how I love thee. The sheer volume of Gaudi art and architecture truly appealed to the inner Art History major graduate in me.

Granada, Spain (May 2009): La Alhambra? Breathtaking. Tapas? Delicious! Churros? Yummy! I love Spain.

Hong Kong (October/November 2008 & May 2006): The best part about traveling back to my birthplace? Undoubtedly, the food! Seriously, you can't get better eats than in Hong Kong. Especially fresh seafood, mmmmm...

San Diego, California (December 2007): Visited the city during my Cali/Mexico cruise trip. The highlight? Catching up with pandas at the San Diego Zoo!

Hollywood, Santa Monica & Venice Beaches in California (December 2007): I did indeed go biking along Santa Monica beach during my Cali trip
…and then there’s Toronto, Ontario, Canada: My hometown for almost 3 decades!
